This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was good in overall. I learned a lot about class management. I wished that there were more examples about gesture. It was good to learn about ‘voice’ and its effect in making the lesson either full of life or a mere boredom. It was beneficial to note that I should not use the name of any student at the beginning of a question in order to keep all the students alert. It was also rather interesting to know about the pluses and minuses of all grouping ways. Classroom arrangement was tackled in a good way so that any teacher can decide on the way he arranges the seating of the students in class according to his/her classroom size and number of students along with other conditions. It was extremely important for me to learn about the teacher position and movement in the class room. It helped me to know whether to sit down or keep standing up according to the type of the activity.
