This unit covered the topic Coursebooks and Lesson Materials. I found the unit very helpful in making sure I use coursebooks and other lesson materials in the most beneficial way for students. It outlined a variety of materials that can be used along side a coursebook such as authentic or created materials. It gave me a balanced view of the advantages and disadvantages of following a coursebook and how to avoid the pitfalls that may occur when a teacher follows a coursebook too rigidly.
