This unit has two videos of different ESA lessons. The atmosphere in the classes is very different. The attitude and mannerisms of the teacher have a profound impact on the class. The teacher in the first video does not seem to enjoy teaching. He makes the students feel dumb for not knowing what he was talking about. He doesn't learn the students names and doesn't offer an explanation for the grammar point. The students are confused and intimidated and reluctant to participate. In the second video he is much more attentive. He smiles and makes friendly gestures. He makes a point to learn the student's names and interact with them. He piques their interest with the animals at the beginning and participates in the activity. The students are inspired by his energy and happy to participate and learn.
