I have gained quite a lot of grammatical knowledge from the course and I'm sure I will find the explanations of grammar points useful for my own understanding, adapting them to suit the students I will be teaching. Also the units regarding stressing of words and intonation have helped me realise the importance of these features of the english language, I believe bearing this in mind will help me speak and teach in every day lessons. There are a lot of different teaching ideas and activity ideas and examples that I'm sure will come in useful when constructing lesson plans that will be fun and effective for my classes learning, giving me confidence that I will have plenty of ideas and resources to choose my class activities from. The course has also given me a good amount of confidence in teaching of classes of different ages, abilities and agendas and I will be able to take on board the tips recommended for teaching these different groups. I have learned a lot about effective lesson planning and keeping lessons varied to keep the students happy and stimulated within lessons so I am going to plan lessons before hand and make sure I have plenty of extra work if needed. The use of materials units was also useful on its instruction on the best way to use course books and resource books. I also feel that the tips on discipline will help me as I won't be completely lost for ideas if I need to deal with disruptive/reluctant students, large class sizes and classes containing different levels.
