Many of the challenges and difficulties I have faced in the past while teaching english were addressed in the course, and I now have the tools to approach these problems. In particular, I have learned not to introduce too much grammar in one lesson, and that the grammar studied in the lesson can be tied into a wide variety of "Activate" activities. Before taking this course, I tended to think of "Study" and "Activate" separately.
Also, writing down lesson plans has been very enlightening, and I now understand why they are important tools. Personally, I value lesson plans as a way to ensure I teach something in the most effective sequence, and it helps me to create a balance between the various aspects of learning english.
