I have personally gained a lot from this course. I applied to this course because I wanted to become an english teacher overseas but found that when I tried picturing myself teaching english, it always ended up with me yelling at a bunch of kids for not obeying my orders and then getting fired for not doing a good job! Thankfully, with the help of this course, I feel I am better prepared should I decide to take the leap and teach english overseas.
I have learnt a lot not only about teaching but about english as well. Growing up in an english speaking country, a lot of the english skills that I have learnt have been learnt by using the language and have not really been formally learned. This course has corrected some of the incorrect english that has been ingrained into me from years of incorrect usage.
I have also learned that english is not as easy as I thought it would be. I actually think that the teaching part is now easier than the english part of being an english teacher!
I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to be an english teacher. Not only will it give you a explicit benefits such as higher pay, a qualification to put on your resume; but also implicit benefits such as confidence and knowledge of what to do in class and a resource to refer back to when things are unclear.
