This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

There have been a couple of things I can highlight about this course that were extremely helpful for me. One of my biggest weaknesses, not only as a teacher but also as a human being, is organization. Being able to understand how to organize detailed lesson plans to more efficiently use my classtime has gone miles, even while I've been in the process of learning how to do it better. I've noticed my students being more engaged during lesson times, and hearing more and more comments like "I love your classes. They're so interesting" and "You make our learning fun." Another thing that I've learned from this program that was extremely helpful was having more creativity and using a variety of sources to come up with new ideas for activities to teach grammar. I always dreaded teaching grammar at my old academy because most of the work was from a textbook. However, as my time came to a close, I became more creative with my lesson plans and making room for more activities that were similar to the ideas that I thought of and learned when reading the course materials. Finally, I learned that I need to be aware of the differences between all the different kinds of students and the strengths and weaknesses that they bring to the table. Doing this has helped me make appropriate adjustments in my lesson plans and plan on doing certain types of activities for each differing age and demographic of my students.
