I personally have gained a lot of knowledge from this tefl course. Even though I'm a native english speaker, and have lived in the united states of America all of my life, I have learned information that I didn't even know before. For example: If I didn't take this course, and I was told to make a lesson plan, it would probably take me a long time to even produce a lesson plan correctly. This course has helped me refresh my memory on, Parts of speech, Present tenses, Past tenses Future tenses, ect. This course gave me knowledge of how to manage a classroom, what activities I should do, how to get the interest in the students. It's taught me various teaching skills, the differences between age groups. This course has truly helped me significantly, and if i didn't take it, I believe i wouldn't be a successful english teacher to students in a foreign country. From taking this course, It has made me more confident in teaching the english language. I plan to use all the information I've learned and use it towards my english teaching career that i plan to achieve in a few months when I go to Turkey. Every unit worksheet I've completed, every lesson plan I've completed, every course unit, I plan to save all these so that I can refer to it when I may need guidance, or maybe when I need a teaching idea. I will use all the knowledge I have gained from this course, and put it towards my english teaching career in which i plan to have in Turkey.
