I think the course has helped me a great deal. There are many subtleties in english that I do not spend much time thinking about and would not be prepared to teach students. This course has helped indentify my own weak points that I need to work on. The course has also made me aware of different teaching techniques and ideas that I would not have known otherwise.
I hope to be able to use the information I have learned in this course to more easily communicate with and instruct students much better than I would have been. I think it is difficult to be a teacher in normal situations where all the students and the teacher speak the same language and that it can be even more difficult when the teacher and the students do not speak the same language. After this course, I believe I should be able to motivate and encourage students in ways I was ignorant of before the class.
