Personally I have learned a lot from this course. I studied english-spanish translation but I wasn’t taught to teach english at the university. My interest to teach arose when I started to teach english to my daughter (8) by my method was not very effective. I can see the difference since I’m applying the techniques learned in this course. She has learned a lot with my new teaching skills. I didn’t know how to plan a lesson, how to teach contents in a funny way and how to make a class interesting. I’m not a very creative person but this course has given me many resources to find ideas to make a class funny and lively.
Although I had learned prior all the grammar topics seen in this course I can know teach their usage in a practical way without being boring with concepts that students don’t manage even in their native language.
Overall I feel that the course was very well structured and covered any areas which are necessary to enter a classroom with the confidence to begin teaching right from the get-go. I think that these teaching skills can be applied to all areas of expertise in the future.
I plan to use my certificate to teach english especially to children.
