TEFL Embden North Dakota

There has been a lot of great information that I've learnt during this course, some more difficult and overwhelming then others. Personally I've gained a better understanding of the different tenses. When you're a native english speaker, sometimes you don't think about things like that, it's rare that we're taught the tenses so thoroughly that we don't think about how difficult it really can be to try and not only form it into words but to teach them to others who aren't native speakers. Another thing that I am grateful for is learning about the passive, and conditionals and reported speech, despite the hard time I had with it. Again that's not something we, or at least I, ever think about. Although I am not yet sure what age group I will be teaching, this course has done a good job in helping me to prepare for all ages. I plan to use what I learned about planning a lesson, rather than what I used to do which was just winging it. I've learned some good games that can be used for all ages and as ice-breakers for the first day of class. I plan to keep in upbeat/encouraging attitude for my students and to be there for them.
