I have greatly enjoyed taking this course and over the course of the last few weeks I have gained not only information about grammar and lesson planning, but also the confidence that I am fully capable of teaching english to students. I feel that the course has prepared me for working with students of all ages and levels and has also equipped me for many different problems that I may come across while teaching abroad. One of the things that I appreciated most from the course was the feedback I received from my tutor. He was very encouraging and always provided insight about his own preferences and teaching experiences which were helpful to hear about. I feel that after taking this course I am much more aware of my own use of grammar while talking or writing. I am conscious of what tenses I am using and often think about how I would introduce them to students in the classroom. I am eager to start my job search and get into the classroom so that I can begin working with students. I think one of the most important teaching aspects that I learned through the course was lesson planning and being creative with teaching ideas. I had never written a lesson plan before, but now I am used to the format and feel very comfortable working on planning out my lessons. I enjoy coming up with games and activities that can help students learn new skills while having fun in class and am looking forward to seeing my ideas being used in the classroom.
