I have learned a lot about tenses and grammar. Those were things I usually just ‘knew' because I'm a native english speaker. Now I can teach any parts of grammar with confidence. I have also gained a lot of knowledge on lesson planning; although I do a lot of lesson planning I find the ESA structure very helpful. I have made personal notes on some of the activities the course has produced, and I have started using them in class. The unit about class discipline has taught me many different and effective ways to deal with younger students who misbehave.
