The course has been very interesting for me. Now I have a good working knowledge of the english grammatical and phonology system as well as all the awareness of all the techniques required in successful language teaching. The unit that interests me most is on lesson planning found in unit 9. Lesson planning is critical as teacher can prepare in advance what students need to learn and it is ideal for inexperienced teacher. Even experienced teacher like me benefits from it because lesson planning forces us to be organized and meticulous in our teaching and by doing so it would improve our image as teacher. As the course is done in a theoretical format without any opportunity for practical application, I will apply the learnt concept in my future classes and get some fellow teachers as observers in the class and provide me with feedback. This will allows me to refine my approach. Moreover, I will also regularly self evaluate and look for interesting and meaning ideas on improving my skills. Internet will be a good source of information and the books that ITTT recommends will supplement my research. I strongly believe that to be a good educator, one has to constantly keep pace with the latest teaching methodologies and adopt the latest best practices in education. A teacher is by no means a student himself and learning is liked the saying: “The sky's the limit!”
