I have personally gained the foundation of the knowledge that I will need to have a successful career teaching english. I realize that I know very little about actual teaching but this course has provided me with the initial information and methodology I need to begin. Also I plan to use the materials from this course as examples for the classes that I teach. This course gave me many teaching ideas for the future. I have also received a good background in the psychology of teaching english as a foreign language. Many things that I would not have thought of myself have been brought to my attention: the difference between adult learners and young learners, the different levels of english speakers, etc.
