This course has been very helpful to me and to my teaching practice. While I have a bachelor's degree in english, with emphasis in journalistic and creative writing, having an additional grammar and usage review was great. I have not had much grammar practice since elementary school—American school systems tend to focus more on literature and applied writing than on grammar in english classes. This isn't to say that I never learned grammar; I just never learned much of the lingo and rules involved—modals and phrasals, when it's appropriate to use the progressive tense rather than the perfect progressive, and so on. (I just knew what was correct, and not why!)
I also appreciated the practice on developing lesson plans and unique class activities—I'll certainly put them to use in my classroom in Georgia, as well as for future teaching and tutoring gigs.
I'd like to thank my tutor, Tania, for all of her help and guidance.
Overall, I've found the course quite beneficial, and would recommend it to anyone.
