As a native speaker of english, I have never really thought about tenses, parts of a sentence, roles of a teacher, different kinds of students and teaching english as a foreign language. I have realized that teaching foreigners english using the ESA pattern is a lot more effective than when I grew up learning english in school. english class was rarely or never fun. I see teaching english, or any other subject for that matter, as a new challenge to make that subject exciting so that people will want to learn. I have gained a very stable platform to work with from this course. I feel like I will continuously be able to refer back to all 20 units for ideas and to reinforce what I have learned. I will definitely use the ESA lesson plan patterns as I can see how effective they are.
