I have gained knowledge, linguistics skills and personal skills throughout this course and I feel it has been an excellent opportunity for me. I have developed my knowledge of english grammar and I now feel confident I can teach and explain everything I’ve covered in this course to a class of non-native english speakers. Having never taught a class of students before, I was pleased to see the course content and realise how many lesson plans I would get to practice and be assessed on. I feel that the course, combined with my tutor’s expertise, has thoroughly prepared me for what to expect in the classroom from younger learners through to adult students and from beginners through to advanced students. I have not only developed my linguistics and teaching skills, but I have also developed my time management skills. I have worked hard on assessing the various times allowed for each stage of the lesson when producing my lesson plans. I have also learned to manage my own time to be able to fit my studies into my daily life and I hope this will translate into my working life as a teacher when I will have to prepare lesson plans in the future. I have gained knowledge, confidence in my abilities and a new level of excitement and motivation during this course. I cannot wait to put into practice everything I have learned during this course and to keep on learning throughout my teaching career.
