The disadvantages are tied to the common fact that students often become bored if a textbook is used exclusively. Some of the better activate activities are usually far more creative that those provided by a textbook publisher. Also this unit has taught me that there are various levels of skills that the students have when attempting to learn how to speak english. also the unit has shown me ways to help students in more active ways so they do not lose interest and stay focused Unit 10 was a lesson that demonstrated a good lesson vs a bad one. I really enjoyed this unit because it taught me very practically on how to be an effective teacher. Having the right attitude is detrimental to being an effective teacher. That’s something that has to remain a constant in all my lessons.
