In this unit I felt that I was better able to understand the importance of reading and listening and how they are equally important to speaking and writing. I also was better able to identify the differences between reading and listening. Knowing how to distinguish between scanning and skimming and for which purpose it is good for was very informative. Another are that I felt was very important was the area of topics. Knowing what your students like and what would interest them is key to helping them learn english. If they are not interested then they will not want to learn.
