This was by far the most difficult unit but was extremely interesting. This unit covers the teaching of pronunciation and phonology. The unit firstly makes a distinction between intonation (in a sentence) and stress (within a single word). It also covers the issue of how sounds may be joined when speaking. One of the most difficult parts of the unit is the phonemic alphabet. The unit discusses phonetics and gives a table with the sounds that can be found in english.
