This unit was basically a refresher of what materials can be used in a classroom. I don't really see the point in it because we have all experienced classroom time by teaching or by being the student and can remember the different types of materials present in the classroom. Overall it was an easy and pointless lesson. I was really confused by this unit and didn't feel like the differences in the examples were clearly defined. I kept having to look them over and still did not understand why there was a difference or how to tell what was passive versus active. There were many difficulties here for me. Altogether a very useful and insightful unit furthering my understanding of relationships within the classroom and how to establish a balanced teacher-student exchange of information.
