In unit twelve I have learned some better techniques for teaching productive skills. Using a good balance of controlled and guided activities can help me improve the students speaking accuracy. However I need to include creative comunication to insure that the students are not just accurate but fluent in english. Failing to teach fluency could result in students that use words in english correctly but shy away from speaking because of not gaining confidence from fluency being taught. I now see how I can help the students improve their writing skills by using some of the simple but fun activities suggested in the unit.
