This course has been very helpful for me to gain a better understanding of grammar. I have always been able to use the correct grammar in the various situations but unable to explain why that grammar was used. This course has helped me to understand why we use the grammar we use as well as given me a good variety of activities to help teach that grammar.
Another thing this course has given me is a very reliable lesson plan outline, and taught me how to properly use it. It is very helpful to know how to properly plan a class. The abundance of activities given within all the units are also of extreme help so that I am able to use a large variety of activities with the students and they don't get bored.
The last thing that this course has helped me with is classroom management. Teaching a class of 35 sixth graders can be quite hectic and this course has given me many helpful tips on how to manage the large classes with the various levels.
In March a new school year starts and I am excited to put everything I have learned to use in a classroom. I teach a variety of different classes ranging from classes of 35 to individual lessons so this course is great for focusing on all the different types of classes. Having completed this course will also open up many more options for me to teach esl around the world and have the confidence to do so.
