This course has given me the confidence and skillset to begin teaching english as a foreign language. From basic grammar to classroom management, I feel that I have a solid foundation to start from. While some of the lessons were challenging, the process of revision and correction has helped me absorb the information presented in these lessons. Grammar has always been my weak point, whether in english or other languages, and this course has helped me with that problem, and I now understand grammar a lot better than I did before. I had never done a lesson plan in my life until this course, and the practice with those will help me create my own lesson plans. When I look back at my early ones, I think that I have improved quite a bit. Peter has been a great tutor, and his comments and critiques have been extremely helpful.
When I have secured a job, I plan to purchase some of the materials presented in these lessons. I will definitely buy a variety of workbooks and grammar materials depending on the level and age of the people I will be teaching. I like switching things up, and I think I will be utilizing a lot of patchwork and boomerang lessons rather than straight arrows. I have learned a lot of good activities and studying ideas to implement in the classroom.
