I have gained many things from taking this course. Having earned an undergraduate degree in english, I was familiar with some of the course material relating to grammar before. However, things such as lesson planning and classroom management were completely new to me. Throughout the duration of this course I think that I've gained a working knowledge of putting together at least a basic lesson plan. With this knowledge I can create an entire curriculum for my future classes if necessary, as well as provide a good structure for my classes that will prove helpful in managing both the flow of class and the students' behavior. I plan to use lesson plans as a record of what my classes have accomplished and when, as well as reference material for future classes and in the event that a substitute teacher is ever needed.
