This course has provided insight into the importance of lesson planning, and the use of activities to encourage students to learn the language. I have learnt about different activities which can be used in the class room to achieve learning of various language points.
I have also learned about the many challenges an esl teacher may face in the class room, and how to deal with these challenges. Challenges such as behavior problems, working with students who are at different levels, and lack of motivation to learn english.
This course has taught me about the different tenses, and how challenging it may be to learn. Now that I have learnt the grammar associated with the different tenses, I am better able to understand the difficulty my students may face when trying to learn the tenses. I will be able to provide activities which will aid in my students understanding of the tenses.
