This course has taught me so much throughout the units. From studying this course I feel that I have learnt a great deal about the english language from the use of grammar, structuring sentences, how to manage a class as well as the importance of preparation. Even being a native english speaker there are things that I have learn about my native language and with my new skill set I hope to bring knowledge into others that are learning the english language.
This course has given me a great deal of insight into lesson plans, the role of the teacher, and the different levels at which the students learn, and how important it is to categorize students in different levels. It is always important for a teacher to be adaptable, and it is the student's needs that should come first. This is not always easy because there can often be a range of different levels, but it is my job as a teacher to do the best I can to cater for as many students as I can.
Overall, I feel more confidant as an english teacher. I believe this course will help me plan better lessons and use a wider range of materials. I feel that I have a much better understanding of the english language, and there is definitely a lot I have learned that I will be able to implement into my classes.
