I have learned several things from having taken this course. Before, I had heard of lesson planning, but I had no idea where to start or how to do it. Since taking this course, it has helped me tremendously in organizing my thoughts and what I am going to do in class. In fact, shortly after I started the course, I was asked by the new school to make lesson plans for 30 after school classes! Fortunately, I had done the chapter on Lesson Planning, so I was able to write 30 lesson plans in three days for the school. If I had not had the knowledge that I learned, I would have been in panic mode.
The mixed level chapter also helped me a lot. Before, I felt lost as to how to handle the group of students of various levels. The unit on mixed levels helped me a lot, and I was able to have the students that knew more english help the ones that knew less english play an important role. Therefore, they would not feel bored.
