The tefl course has been much more challenging than I previously thought it would be. I have been teaching for a reasonable amount of time which made me think I knew the in's and out's of teaching through experience. Yet, this course has given me more skills to use in the classroom and tips on how to deal with some of the problems I've been having while teaching. Overall I feel I am confident enough to teach not only the current level I am teaching now, but the full scope of levels and types of classes out there.
I plan on using what I have learned in the classroom immediately. Especially making sure that each lesson I teach is a perfectly mixed lesson with engage, study and activate activities. I particularly found the lesson on pronunciation very difficult but interesting and will be using it in my future classes. Overall I've gained so much more confidence in my teaching and I look forward to using it in the years to come.
