From this course, I've learned a great deal of teaching skills and refreshed my memory of the learned grammar. I especially find the lesson plan the most helpful. It puts me in situation where I need to apply what I learn to design a suitable lesson for my students.

Nothing intrigues me more than the diverse cultures this planet offers. I've lived in many different cities during the last ten years and I've obtained a lot of knowledge where one cannot learn from reading a book alone. I feel the lifelong learning experience has become an important part of my life and I'd love to continue to enrich my cultural experience. I hope this course opens the gateways to english teaching in different countries where I can teach and learn from the local people (or students) at the same time for I believe I need to stay at a place long enough to truly absorb the language and culture its people offer.
Moving to canada at a young age makes me understand the importance of using a language other than my native language to communicate. I soon grew strong interest in languages and its background. The desire of being a linguist brought me to the french speaking province of canada to learn a new language and became fluent of it. Although not a native english speaker, I'm very confident I can use the experience I had in learning english and what I learned from this course to benefit my students in the future. My next goal is to master the Mandarin language and I wish to submerge myself in a Mandarin speaking environment for a couple of years. Ever since my first visit to Taiwan three years ago, I've decided it is the place where I want to study the language and I'd like to apply my knowledge and skills I obtain from this course to teach english in Taiwan. This way, I can share my english learning experience with students, at the same time, it allows me to stay in one place long enough to learn from the culture and the language.
