I think what I have gained most from this course lies outside the realm of english grammar. What I have learned most from this course is how people learn. I plan to use my ability to formulate a lesson plan in every class I teach, and I also plan to construct all of my lessons along the path of Engage-Study-Activate learning style--or some derivation of these steps that is suitable to the subject matter.
When you go to school, you never truly realize how much a teacher caters to a students needs. Often, you are only conscious of a teachers effort when they bring in pre-made drawings or examples to class. The tefl course really outlined how much a teacher truly does for their students, and how the student benefits from this planning.
From this, I plan to structure all of my lessons in advance, and truly reflect on what my students will need to learn the material
