Though a definite challenge at times (especially grammar review) I am so thankful I took this course. This course will serve to help me become a better esl teacher all around. I now have many more “tools” in my esl toolbox. I can devise a lesson plan, explain grammar more clearly and effectively, find resources online or in the library to aid in classroom teaching, understand specific methodologies (ESA) and have a better idea of what to expect in an esl classroom.
I plan to put into practice what I've learned by keeping structure in the classroom, continue to review grammar as needed (with the help of the resources given in certain tefl units), make the classroom fun, be willing to laugh at myself, and listen to/understand student's needs. Simply put—this course has given me more passion to strive to be the best esl teacher one can be. I want to make an indelible impression in the lives of my students and help them become excellent students of english!
