This course has taught me to see the different ways to deal with students of all ages and that some students are learning english because they have to and others because they want to. I have also realized just how important it is to have lessons planned and have back-up plans just in case of extra time or to motivate the students a bit more. The difference in the levels of the students is another impact as well as if the teaching is in their own country or an english speaking country.
The importance of feedback and evaluation is something that needs to be kept in mind and practiced to all extents. Students need and want to know the progress they have achieved along the course. teachers need to always keep in mind as well, the different ways of learning for each student, based on their experience, culture, background knowledge, and interests.
This course will help me plan lessons in a variety of ways always keeping in mind the goals of the course and the motivation of students. The 20 units provided along the way will always be something useful to use as reference and resources in many different activities to plan in any job as an english Language teacher. I also feel that this course has helped me to keep an organized and structured learning environment to meet the needs of the students and the teacher as well, creating a calming, nurturing, and welcoming environment as a whole.
