Now that I have completed the training, I intend to look for the best possible outlet for me to begin teaching others. I will continue training as well. I am going to concentrate on teaching young children and will take another course with ITTT. In the mean time, I will list myself as an available tutor on websites and try to find tutoring positions in the U.S. I will be looking to teach overseas next year, when we return to our overseas post with my husband's government job.
I have enjoyed learning how to teach english and I found it much harder than I thought it would be. We take for granted our native language and how easily we pick up the nuances of our mother tongue. When you begin to explain why we say things the way that we do, it becomes a task to figure out why, let alone explain it! But, I think I have a good basis to get started. I am sure there will be a teaching learning curve, but I am looking forward to the challenges.
