I gained an overview of teaching english as a second language. The course hit well on all the basic foundational things that a teacher should be aware of or know about the classroom, the students, the language, and lessons. Most of the information if fairly common sense, but having to create lesson plans and answer the questions helps solidify the information and put it into action.
The course helps you with confidence, since you have knowledge supporting you. Also, various things taught will float to your head as you're teaching or planning. They help remind me of what I should or shouldn't do. It's a good tutorial. The tutor was very good at making comments and explaining in areas that I missed or didn't understand.
