Early child development is a crucial time in a child's life. A child's development stages will influence the child's learning experience, and help the child to build his/her personal, moral and social skills. There are many different stages of development: cognitive development, motor skills development, social development, psychological development, emotional development, etc. In this essay I will mostly write about social development in children, since I think social development is one of the skills that has the biggest influence on a child's personal and professional growth. Growing up in a loving family provides the child with confidence and acceptance, and provides a strong foundation for the future development of a person. At an early age, children are very self-centered. Early childhood is also the time when a child finds his or her first friends, usually in the preschool. Preschool is also the time when the child is learning to share and interact with other children. As a child grows, friendly play and sharing of toys during an early age develops and becomes more advanced. At that age, children are increasingly capable of communicating with each other and they develop the ability to have minor conversations. Later on in a child's life, friendships will focus on the similarities between children, such as their taste in music, books, and movies, which will bring children together. Students with similar ideas and goals will also develop friendships. Because research shows that every stage of development has to be completed in order for a child to succeed later on in life, if a child skips this preschool friendship development phase, he/she will have a difficult time to build friendships and develop social skills later on in kindergarten or primary school, and possibly later on in life. The child could also have difficult time when separating from a parent or an adult, and could go through a traumatic experience. The child may also face the fear of acceptance. In other words, these issues can interfere in a child's development for a long period of time. children also experiences social development throughout relationships with the educators and teachers. Supportive and caring teachers can help a child to build self esteem providing them with knowledge and teach them to become lifelong learners. Primary education is therefore as one of the most vital times in a child's development. The child's surroundings definitely has an influence on the child's development. Educators also have to keep in mind that every child develops at a different pace and every child will find their own suitable way to do so. Educators have a responsibility to provide creative lessons, a positive and safe environment, and an ongoing learning experience as essential requirements that will help children to develop their social and personal skills, and to reach their academic achievements and dreams. In conclusion I would like to say that, as an educator and as a parent, a child's development is an essential fact in a child's life and we are responsible to provide as much of a positive influence as we can to our children. Caring, loving, and devoted parents together with committed and well educated teachers will help the child to develop into successful, flourishing and productive adults.
