Personally before I took this course I had no idea how to teach a class. I thought I knew but I didn't. All the tefl methodologies are valid for any situations which may occur during a lesson. Since the beginning of this course I've learned, for example, how to plan a lesson and why is important to do so; how to deal with different situations (beginner students, problematic behaviors, etc.). It's been very important for me that I had the chance to give a general review on grammar and vocabulary too.
The most important thing I've gained is confidence though. Now I feel I'm ready to meet with different kinds of students. No matter what problem I might face somehow I know how to solve it.
Next year I'm planning to go to Poland and I really would like to teach a class in a private school there. I know I'll have to deal with a monolingual class and that's why I'm very happy I've taken this course because now I know how .
