This course was excellent in refreshing my grammatical skills. So much of that was more than 35 years ago that I learned and it felt like learning it all over again from start! It was also good for helping me to slow down as I am used to working at a fast pace with college level students. The course brought back and affirmed my own language skills in regards to grammar, tense use, and other complex pieces of the language. This course also taught me a lot of things of a cultural nature I did not know before and helped me become cohesive in planning and classroom management. I was new to writing lesson plans and I have a grasp of how to do that now in an organized and orderly fashion. I also have learned some good structure with the ESA style of lesson planning. It is my intention to print out all of the units and keep them in a folder or binder for continued use and tips on activities and structure, as well as common problems that I may not have picked up on until I was well into the job.
