This course has helped me understand the fundamentals on how to be a more effective teacher; it showed me many aspects of the english language that I was not aware of since I am a native english speaker. This course has also taught me how to approach different situations and problems that are faced in the classroom and the best way to overcome such problems. By providing tasks that required creativity and critical thinking, I was able to strengthen my ability to adapt to different settings and find different methods that I can implement into the classroom.
I plan to use what I have learned as a guide to approach different groups in the classroom. I will foster and facilitate the fundamental concepts on how to treat students and to create a supportive learning environment. With my deeper understanding of english grammar, I can clearly explain the uses and the meaning of tenses and other grammatical structures to more advanced students. Overall this course will help me focus on the most important aspects of being a effective teacher and play an important role in shaping the future of my students.
