This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit gives a clear comparison between an effective lesson and an ineffective one. The first lesson was ineffective because the teacher did not help the students engage in the lesson. The teacher was also very stern and spoke way too fast for the students to understand what he was talking about. He also spoke in a condescending way towards the students resulting in their reluctance and fear to participate in class. The teacher in the first lesson was unprepared and not knowledgeable about some aspects of the lesson point. I think one thing that the teacher in the second lesson can do better is revise how he explains the action "crawl"". He could use more examples of animals that crawl and compare them with those that walk."
