This unit helped me realize that while it’s important to plan enough activities and material for a whole class period it is just as important to be flexible. To be able to change up the flow of the lesson to address difficulties can become easier the more a person is in a classroom and gets to know their students. In addition to be an aid in planning and structuring a class a lesson plan is also a record of what happened each day and a working document to help the teacher improve on each lesson.
