The unit content included information on how students read and listen. An excellent example was the way in which an American would understand the headlines of "Bears destroyed by Cowboys" I found the phonetic speak to be quite confusing but once I began recognizing the symbols it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Teaching this to foreign speakers would be extremely tough so I am definitely going to look at the different resources so that I will be able to understand it more clearly. Opinion: Short
