This unit provides information on the wide variety of course materials available to use in teaching english as a Second Language. It also compares and contrasts prepared material with authentic material and provides advantages and disadvantages for both. The unit revises the boomerang style of ESA in a way that forces thought about what would be the appropriate sequencing of activities and study for this style of lesson. I found it challenging in that I had a number of possible sequences and changed them about. I am still not entirely sure I have it right.
