Being able to have an environment where learning is possible is extremely necessary. Too open or closed of a classroom can stifle learning and be extremely boring. Learning can be fun but has to incorporate structure and the teacher has to be able to read his students and classroom as to be able to adapt and adjust to the situation at hand.
