I was happy to have this unit early on in the tesol training as it is giving me a chance to review what I know, as well as build upon previous knowledge of parts of speech. Although I am familiar with the uses of superlatives, gerunds, past participles, and conjunctions, I may not be able to describe them or teach these concepts to others as well without this training. I found it important for me to go over the types of verbs - transitive and intransitive. Similarly, I found it helpful to go over how verbs change between the infinitive/base form to past simple, past participle, and present participle so that I could better recognize the patterns involved.
