I have learned that not only can a sentence be looked at as a simple structure but can also be broken down into many complex classifications. The most basic sentence consists of a subject and a verb. More complex sentences can be broken down even further with definite articles, adjectives, nouns, verbs, prepositions, etc. Every word and word ending serves as a building block to the sentence structure. One thing that I have never noticed is the unwritten rule for basic adjective placement. That is size, age, color, material, then noun. The English language has many regular rules as well as irregular rules. For example there are many regular verbs such as study and hope and there are many more irregular verbs such as bring and become.
