This unit was effective in breaking down the structure of sentences. Although I have studied this specifically in school, it was a very useful refresher. I have learnt how to analyse sentences. In particular, I can now determine the Type of grammar used and the effect this has on the rest of the clause. I have also expanded my knowledge of certain grammar types, for example the use of gerund and where it comes into play. In conclusion, this unit has helped me form a basis of English teaching in terms of grammatical structure.
