I found this unit to be a methodical review of the basics of sentence structure which highlighted the complexity of the english language and the challenges involved in getting the subtleties of the language across to learner. It alluded to the great number of grammatical "exceptions"" that are present in the language but in spite of these showed there to be a systematic element to the learning process
