This unit refreshed my knowledge of the parts of speech. Though I use them everyday, sometime it is easy to forget the distinctions between certain parts of speech. This is especially true of the difference between transitive and intransitive verbs, because in English, they are often times the same word, unlike other languages where the words are clearly different. Knowing the parts of speech is important in order to have a basic working knowledge of the structure of the English language.
